MZ Makeup provides professional mobile makeup services across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, including Dunstable, Luton, Bedford, Harpenden, Hitchin, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, Watford and Milton Keynes.

If you’re unsure whether I cover your location, please get in touch and I’ll be happy to help.

Do you travel to my home or venue?

Yes. MZ Makeup is a fully mobile makeup service, so I travel directly to your home, hotel or chosen venue.

Whether you’re getting ready for a party, prom, birthday celebration, engagement party, wedding or another special occasion, you can relax and enjoy having your makeup professionally applied in the comfort of your chosen location.

What makeup brands do you use?

I use a carefully selected collection of premium, professional and luxury makeup brands that are trusted throughout the beauty industry for their exceptional quality, flawless finish and long-lasting performance.

My professional kit includes premium brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, MAC, Huda Beauty, Bobbi Brown and Urban Decay, together with other carefully selected professional products. For bridal makeup, I also use selected Dior products to create elegant, long-lasting bridal looks.

Every product is selected according to your skin type, skin tone and the makeup look you’d like to achieve, ensuring a flawless finish that photographs beautifully and lasts throughout your special occasion.

Are false lashes included?

Yes. Premium strip lashes are included with most makeup appointments to enhance your chosen look and provide a beautiful finish.

If you prefer not to wear lashes, that’s absolutely fine and your makeup will be tailored to your preferences.

Can you create both natural and full glam looks?

Absolutely. Whether you’re looking for soft glam, natural makeup, timeless elegance or full glam, every look is individually tailored to complement your features, skin tone, outfit and personal style.

My aim is to create makeup that enhances your natural beauty while helping you feel confident and comfortable.

Can I show you inspiration photos or request a specific makeup look?

Absolutely. If you’ve seen a makeup look you love on Instagram, Pinterest or elsewhere, feel free to send it to me before your appointment.

Inspiration photos are a great starting point and help me understand the style you’re looking for. I’ll then tailor the look to suit your features, skin tone and occasion, creating a beautiful result that’s personalised to you rather than simply copying another look.

Booking & Deposits

How do I book an appointment?

Booking your appointment is simple. You can either:

  • Complete the Contact Form on the website.
  • Click the Book Now button to send me a WhatsApp message directly.

Once your preferred date, time and location have been confirmed, you’ll receive the details required to secure your booking.

Is a deposit required?

Yes. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bookings.

Your appointment is only confirmed once the deposit has been received. The remaining balance is payable before or on the day of your appointment, as agreed during the booking process.

How quickly will I receive a response?

I aim to respond to all enquiries within 2 working hours.

During particularly busy periods or weekends, responses may occasionally take a little longer, but I’ll always get back to you as soon as possible.

How far in advance should I book?

Weekend appointments, bridal bookings and prom season dates are often booked well in advance. To avoid disappointment, I recommend booking as early as possible.

However, if you’re looking for a last-minute appointment, please get in touch as I may still have availability.

Can I book makeup for a group?

Yes. Group bookings are available for weddings, birthdays, parties, proms and other special occasions.

Please include the number of people requiring makeup when making your enquiry so I can confirm availability.

Can I book more than one appointment?

Absolutely. Many clients book makeup for multiple occasions throughout the year, including birthdays, proms, weddings, engagement parties, photoshoots and festive celebrations.

If you have more than one event planned, simply let me know when you enquire and I’ll do my best to reserve your preferred dates.

Bridal Makeup

Do you offer bridal makeup trials?

Yes. A bridal makeup trial is highly recommended before your wedding day. During the trial we’ll discuss your vision, preferred style, dress, colour palette and inspiration before creating your chosen bridal look.

This gives us the opportunity to make any adjustments, ensuring you feel completely confident, comfortable and relaxed on your wedding day.

When should I book my bridal makeup trial?

I recommend booking your bridal makeup trial around 8 to 12 weeks before your wedding day.

This gives us plenty of time to perfect your chosen look while allowing for any changes to your hairstyle, dress or wedding plans before your big day.

Can you accommodate bridal parties?

Yes. Bridal bookings can include makeup for the bride, bridesmaids, mothers of the bride and groom, and other members of the wedding party.

If you have a larger bridal party, please enquire as early as possible to secure your wedding date and allow enough time for everyone to be ready.

Do you work with all skin tones and skin types?

Yes. I have experience working with a wide variety of skin tones, skin types and ages.

Every makeup application is personalised using products and techniques best suited to your individual complexion to achieve a flawless, long-lasting finish.

Can you work with sensitive skin?

Yes. If you have sensitive skin, allergies or specific concerns, please let me know before your appointment so I can prepare accordingly and select suitable products where possible.

Do you offer makeup for mature skin?

Yes. Every makeup application is tailored to the individual, including mature skin.

Using professional techniques and carefully selected products, I create fresh, flattering makeup that enhances your natural features while remaining comfortable and long-lasting.

Do you provide makeup for teenagers?

Yes. Whether it’s for prom, a birthday party, a family event or another special occasion, every makeup look is tailored to suit the client’s age, personal style and preferences.

My aim is always to create makeup that feels fresh, age-appropriate and enhances natural beauty while ensuring you feel confident and comfortable.

Your Appointment

How long does a makeup appointment take?

Most makeup appointments take between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the makeup look you’ve chosen and whether additional services are required.

Bridal appointments and larger group bookings may take longer.

How should I prepare for my makeup appointment?

For the best results, please:

  • Arrive with clean, freshly cleansed skin.
  • Apply your usual moisturiser before your appointment.
  • Stay well hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment, as healthy, hydrated skin helps makeup apply more smoothly and last longer.
  • Wear a button-up or zip-up top if possible, so you can change afterwards without disturbing your finished makeup.

These simple steps help achieve the best possible results.

How long will my makeup last?

Using professional application techniques and premium long-wearing products, your makeup is designed to stay looking beautiful throughout your event.

Longevity can vary depending on your skin type, weather and activity, but I’ll also provide aftercare advice to help your makeup remain fresh for as long as possible.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please let me know as soon as possible.

What if I’m running late?

If you’re running late or won’t be available at the agreed appointment time, please let me know as soon as possible.

I’ll always do my best to accommodate any delays where possible. However, if your appointment is significantly delayed, the time available for your makeup application may need to be reduced to avoid affecting other scheduled bookings.
